As you may have read from my previous post (please read if you haven't) Daniel has caught the cooking bug. He is in the kitchen tearing up those pink pots and pans like there is no tomorrow! It is TOO funny! Yesterday was the moment of truth because he tried to cook something from scratch- Chicken Wings of course! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. Daniel, pink, kitchen apron, and raw chicken! I have never been more attracted to him in my life! Haha! He made the sauce, he fried the chicken wings, AND he baked them to make them a little extra crispy. I was skeptical but boy were they AMAZING! Totally outdid the pigs in a blanket I cooked for dinner. So here are some photos of this candid moment as I wouldn't want ANYONE to miss what I got to spend the afternoon with- Chef Danyardee!

Oh and here is a couple random tid bits: while we were in Sedona for the honeymoon (fabulous) we ate at this amazing place called Ken's Creekside Restaurant for breakfast. Not only was it the best meal EVER- our waiter told us that Reggis comes in once every couple months for a piece of their cobbler (without his wife.. dun dun dun)! Ha! Anywho, the waiter bought one for us and it was AMAZING. Here is a pic of us there.
And finally. It hits home- weirder than referring to Daniel as my husband- was doing this for the very first time. This was the morning after the wedding and I was able to sign a giftcard receipt with this!!!!!!!!!! How exciting!!

so - he baked them too. aunt sharon asked why he wasn't baking them instead of frying. glad they were good. i do love wings . . . next time i'm in az, we'll have to cook them together. great pics!! i too love signing my name . . . Mrs. Opfel. a very cool name i think!! although mcdonald, carter, trejo and john are also very cool - not quite as cool as OPFEL!!! and then there is also collins . . . twice!! maybe ben could also marry a collins.
Jeanie you do have to come cook with us! Maybe during the winter when it's snowing and beautiful!?! This is definitely a phase in his life I want to share with EVERYONE! He is so adorable when he cooks and honestly, the food has been amazing! Cross your fingers it's not just a phase because everyone knows I stink in the kitchen!
Wahoo! The name change is always so surreal. Glad ya'll had a good time in Sedona. And I'll have to email Daniel a hot wings recipe to try...it's to die for.
