lately.

This post will probably be a ton of nonsense but I often find that the ramblings make the best posts. First and foremost I am very happy to announce that Rampage now rides in the back of Daniels truck with little fear. I should emphasize 'little' because he still lays down for most the ride. Baby steps with that one. We decided to take the dogs on a long drive out into the middle of no where for some play time. Our hopes were to be near the lake so we could make the dogs swim but the lakes were all frozen (who knew)? Regardless, here are a couple photos of our adventures...

Okay guys! I swear we do not TRY to favor Rampage at all. But he is the cutest dog ever to grace this planet. Seriously.. tell me how you say "no" to this face? Yes, he was in trouble and YES this is a candid shot of the face he ALWAYS gives us when he is in trouble! Hahah!

Picture manipulation: juvenile but it is a start.

Picture taking skills... Rampage is the easiest more so than Daniel even.

Me and the Brink-a-Dink

awww...right?

Those were some pretty fun times with the family!! Oh yes, quality time always the best!! Speaking of which, we had tons of people over for some UFC fights at the end of January. SO much fun!! You know how we love the fights here in Flagstaff. Anyway, Laura and Heath Davis were able to stop by (psst: THANKS FOR COMING!) and we LOVED seeing some familiar-phx faces!! Okay, SO confession: I totally felt inadequate as a wife in comparison to Laura! She was talking about raising her kids, sewing, cooking, cleaning... I felt like a bum! So I deiced to try some new things in life. First order of business: I baked the rainbow cake most famously featured on Jeanie's blog! And I took up sewing children's headbands. I don't know how to sew so pictures of that adventure will have to wait but here are some pictures of my somewhat successful rainbow cake:
Dying the cake layers was NOT fun, but look for pretty it all is...

You always learn from your first attempt: I learned, you need different amounts of each color, otherwise it all runs together. Oh well close enough?

Finished product. I sprinkled coconut shavings on 1/2 the cake for Danny. He loved it. Case in point the 2nd photo...

Aww isn't he a cutie? And to clear things up straight away YES he is wearing a pink shirt and I thought it was adorable. My husband is ALWAYS adorable and can you believe we have already been married for 4 months? I know you probably think that isn't too long but on Valentines Day we've been together for 2 years. Crazy how fast that time flies by. We had this entire v-day/anniversary type event planned out with cooking Chinese food together, board games, and movies buttttt NONE of that worked out. Instead we decided to take a last minute joy-ride to Camp Verde to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park. I would totally encourage EVERYONE to go there! So much fun, great weather, and amazing FREE tour rides. I even got to feed a giraffe using my mouth!- No charge! So cool!! I tried to take some good photos but it is hard with the animals behind gates! On a brighter note we saw EVERYTHING- several times over! And the lions were going nuts just roaring away at one another. It shook you to the core!! I got a stuffed giraffe in the gift shop! We'll be going there again ASAP! COME WITH!
(Ps: Note that Daniel HAND fed the giraffe, what a wimp)!

Well that is all I really have for you right now folks! Daniel was set apart today and we are super excited for this new calling. All in all we are doing just fine here in Flagstaff. Hope everything is great on your end of things!! Let us know what you have all been up to and how you all have been! Miss you guys!!

Ok that picture of Rampage made me laugh!! When oliver is in trouble his head and tail go down and I suddenly feel very guilty. When adam and I move down to AZ we should get ourselves AND our dogs together :)

Wahoo! That looks like SO much fun! It reminds me that there are all sorts of amazing animals that I kind of forget about because they don't wander down the street here in Phoenix. Your Rainbow cake looks so yummy; I must try that someday. The kids would think it was too cool.
