what is it about babies and spiders?

... that makes you want to take a photo? you tell me!

Happy Easter!!
Yes, so depressing that I have the time to blog on Easter but my holiday celebration was yesterday and as a result you get to hear about it today! And it was such a lovely Easter, too! My entire family came up from Phoenix and family ALWAYS puts on smile on my face. I wish I could have come down with Daniel today but realistically, it just wasn't in the cards. (Anyway)As I was saying, my family came up and that meant little Jaxon came to visit! I hate living in Flagstaff, I feel like I am missing him grow up. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that he is already 4 months old! (And side note: Daniel and I have been married for 6months, whoop-whoop)! But seriously, every time this kiddo is around I just feel the need to snap a ton of photos! He probably secretly hates me for it but he is just so precious and tolerant, I'd be dumb not to take advantage of the opportunity! I managed to get a picture of EVERYONE with Jaxon (even Daniel)! I love that kid, he is the cutest little boy! Moving on, Easter was pretty mellow which is just how I like the holidays. We hate an enormous lunch/dinner... linner? Ham, potatoes, broccoli, spinach salad, pineapple, rolls, carrot cake, YUM-YUM-YUM! I miss my family and I can't wait to live closer to them once again! 1 year, 1 year- if I keep reminding myself that nursing school is almost over, I feel like I can hang on a little longer ;o) Wish I could have seen you guys though! I hope that your Easter was just as you all wished it to be! Here are some photos from our Easter day!

As you all know (I'd hope *wink) Easter means spring time! I have to admit I've had a hard time getting into the spring theme considering it snowed yesterday! Ugh! But there is one little piece of evidence that tells me that it is spring time in Flagstaff and that is all the dang spiders!! They are EVERYWHERE! This concept i recently a little more terrifying to me as my dad made my family watch arachnophobia this morning. Yeah I thought it was good Easter movie material, too- NOT! Anyway, a few days ago I was out in the backyard with the dogs and moving around patio furniture when I spotted a HUGE black spider. I started screaming Daniel's name because 1. I know my husband very well and I knew he would love to torture this thing and 2. I hate spiders. Anyway, I call Daniel who reluctantly joins me outside until he saw the enormous black widow. Daniel quickly grabs a stick and starts to poke at the spider. Ladies and gentleman you should have seen his face light up when I gave him the idea to set the spider on fire. He starts screaming demands at me "LIGHTER"-"HAIR SPRAY"- "MOVE DOGS"... "NO, LIGHTER FLUID." It was like a little kid on Christmas morning, folks. Here are some pictures of the event...

And lastly, I FINALLY saw Twilight.

My thoughts on the film- indifference. I love the story so much that I feel like the movie was very awkward and incomplete. However, even though I say that I have watched it 3 times. Biggest flaw for me: Robert Patterson is the worst Edward EVER! He is so goofy-looking and girly. Why couldn't they have picked someone better?-
James Franco would have been perfect.

Everyone always says, "he is too old" but he has the biggest baby face I have EVER seen and he is sexy (haha). The whole cast was really off for me... Carlisle and Jacob? Alice and Jasper? I didn't like those guys at all. Humf. Despite my griping I did like the movie- I just didn't love it the way I love the book.
SO here is to New Moon!
May the acting miraculously get better!

-That is All, Happy Easter-
Laura

i missed having you come down with daniel. but glad you got to be with your family for easter. darn it - your dinner sounded better than ours. we had no dessert . . . we were being lazy. actually we were supposed to have root beer floats but erin forgot. also, homemade rolls (but becky said they didn't rise properly . . . ) oh well.
